Fitting HID Kit's

Hi,
i got my kit off cturbo (8,000k, 35w, H7 kit)
fitted the other week but needed a relay harness, it arrived today so hopefully will fit tomorrow.
will post pics tomorrow but heres a text version for now.
heres how to set everything up
note the relay harness is not included with cturbo's kit but will work without it on some cars.
HID kit - http://www.allcorsa.co.uk/forums/sho...its-25059.html
Relay Harness - http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/hid-12v...ess-p-323.html
the RHS of pic is Driver Side of car, and LHS of pic is Passenger Side of car)

without the relay harness the wire 'leave unplugged' on the right hand side of my pic plugs into the ballast instead of the relay harness, the connection between the bulb and the relay harness on the left hand side of my pic plugs into ballast instead of relay harness and no connection to battery or grounding is required.
the relay harness just gets the power directly from the battery instead of using the wiring for the lights.

steps (will add pics tomorrow hopefully)
This was for my Corsa C
Should be similar to B's but won't have to remove bumper (i dont think)

1 - Remove front bumper (C = couple bolts above (visible), couple nuts inside the arches, about 3/4 below car)

2 - Remove lights and fogs (need to get a flathead screwdriver and pull on the red plug)

using a flatheaded screwdriver lift the red plug and it will pull away and push back in to plug in

3 - Remove the white/grey covers from rear of lights

4 - drill 25mm hole
i had to sand a little bit down for plug to fit through

5 - squeeze the plug through, until you reach the grommit, and 'plug' the grommit into the hole

6 - Disconnect wiring from the original bulbs and remove bulb

7 - Replace with HID bulb and wiring (both together with the grommit) and clip the bulb holder back into place
HID Existing
blue -> Yellow
Black -> Brown

8 - Put the grey/white covers back on

9 - Connect the lighting unit (dont bolt back in yet)

10 - Connect the 2 wires from the HID bulb to the 2 sockets in the ballast as in the pic at top of page
i used these 2 points (sanded down and bolted with supplied bolts in HID kit)
Driver Side (near the 2rd bolt on headlights, theres a spare hole just by there)

Passenger Side (above light unit)

11 - Ground the 2 wires from the relay harness and attach the positive to the battery (not sure where im going to ground them yet)

12 - CHECK THAT BOTH BULBS WORK - TURN ENGINE ON AS THEY USE ALOT OF POWER TO START UP

13 - If they both work secure the ballasts into place (im going to use behind the 2 front wings)

14 - Refit front bumper and enjoy

If they dont work
  • Try reversing the polarity of the connections to and from the ballasts
  • If the HIDs work and then turn off straight away, there might not be enough power getting to them - try fitting a relay harness

pics dont do it justice
