lol tell me about it, but yeah it's getting a full re-spray shortly. Once I get it back it's got to be re-MOT'd and then...

...time to jack it up, deal with any rot underneath and waterproof it!

By the time it get's to PVS, it'll be a brand new car

As far as I'm aware you have to get another test on it to prove that the work done was to an acceptable standard before some insurance company's will insure it. The test is like an MOT but more thorough, thats all I heard about it because it was on some telly show where they fix cat C/D cars and sell them on at a fraction of the forecourt price O.o I think its called wrecks to riches

Yup, I have to have it re-MOT'd and inform VOSA. They can request a vehicle check, but generally don't...

You'll need to take it for a VIC test, almost defiantely, as it will be marked down on the DVLA's computer as being written off, the VIC check gets you a pass certificate which allows you to tax it and get your new logbook.

Had to do the same with ym sport, i bought it as a cat-c write off.

ah right, im not sure then. I'm under the undersanding that if a cat-c is returned to the road it must undergo a VIC check to ensure it's not a cut and shut job, and not a ringer. I believe they delete the current V5 doc ref from their system, so you need to get a new V5 that will be updated to say its was substantially damaged and/or accident repaired. The DVLA will only issue this with a VIC pass certificate.

Have a chat with them though, might be different or somethign.

£185 delivered. Not cheap, but not expensive either...

Only a week to go until the car goes to the bodyshop! When it's in, it'll be time to get the Cesaros re-sprayed (and have the tyres fitted).

Then I can fit the coilies and the wheels... then re-MOT... the VOSA check... then.... THEN...

ON THE ROAD!!

Maybe I do =/ If I have a choice between a normal pencil, or one with a rubber on the end, I'll always pick the one with the rubber on it
