You find me a car that's this rare, that turns heads, runs like a dream, is easy to customise and only costs £1000... and I'll do it.

This is why I've kept it... when do you see a GSi running around? The Caribic blue stands out amongst all the other cars. It's fantastic [/quote]

you think this is the nicest gsi going. yeah it was very nice but you get these weird ideas that i had when i was 7. you photoshp them act like a child ''project zombie''

its rare yeah, so why stick amber lights all round it
look around you, theres nicer gsi's out there running like a dream. e.g. .matt's his red one was immaculate. imo you need to look at your car which is nice and think is wacking ****ty amber lights etc on it gunna make it look any rarer? a few nice subtle mods will do that.

as for the tuning do what im doing, kent cams, mantzel inlet, 4-2-1 manifold and full exhaust system and a power box. will be running 140-150 bhp then.

There are four in my area that I know of, one that would more than impress yourself and anyone on here.

All I am saying is for the amount that you're going to be putting in repairing it and modifying it you could have a nice Ultra Blue 1.7 TDCi Corsa C SRi. Very easy to tune, the colour is stunning, you have everything that you would in the GSi plus a lot more and the engines are relatively solid.

I broke my GSi for bits and made in excess of £1500 on all parts, add that to repair costs and what money you can save up and you'll have a few grand.. a few grand that could get you something nicer.

I'm not saying you want to do it, it's just a suggestion. You do what you do, and as far as you and a lot of other people are concerned - you do it well.
Just think whether it's financially viable to keep a 15(?) year old car on the road that will eventually fall to rot and heavy engine maintenance.

Classic case of getting slight praise for your car, goes to your head, become a ****, think your better than everyone.

Modifying cars is a person making an individual stamp on their car. Doing something that they like and they think looks good! If it looks gash then so be it, but if they put the effort in and they came up with some original ideas then that deserves credit! Not everyone has to go with the minimal subtal styling, they want something that when you look at your car in the morning on the way to work, you think ' look what I've made, myself, my ideas, an nobody else has the same car in the world!'

So get off your high horse dan and remember why we all do this, an if you don't like the site, get lost and stop bringing it's reputation down with you!

From what i can recall a friend of mine said Vaux dont sell the gsi kits anymore.

Not to keen in the fogs on front, think they might over power the standard gsi's ones.

Never been a big fan of angels; but everyone to themselves i suppose.

Ok, seriously people? I'm not a mod or anything but i think that proves a plus point in this situation... Becuase im able to say things like this:

SHUT THE **** UP ALREADY BEATING ON THE GUY....

Seriously, its his sodding car, not yours, he's doing the work, not you... If all you're gonna do is **** on someones ideas then just **** off for once and keep your loud mouth shut.

Who gives a **** if YOU dont like ONE of HIS ideas, its nothing to do with you at all, and NOTHING gives you the right to call him out on it.

In short, piss off if you've not got anything nice to say.

If you wanna have a bash at me too, bring it on, you know where the PM button is and I will defend my opinion to the end.

Bunch of losers some of you...

Nicely Said!!! Gotta like a guy with honesty!

I recently left a forum for this very reason, every choice you make there'd be someone to slate it and it just gets so tiring after a while, especially when you think hard about these ideas and then someone comes along and ruins it!

At the end of the day, so what it's a GSi. Fact of the matter is he wants to do something different and no-one should slate him for that! Where would we be if everyone liked the same thing? Ok so there's a few little bits on the car I think look a bit out of place but I would never go as far as some of you have, I'd put it in a way in which he can see it's a personal point of view!

The guy's doing what HE wants to HIS car. If you don't like it then fine but what you need to remember is how you'd feel if we did the same to your ideas.

Rant over.

Don, get your ass down pomphreys and get a quote from them. Then ask one of the mechanics i.e either Mark or Scott if they will do it private; they are two top blokes. Scott would prop invite you round for a cup of tea to talk about what you want. Plus they both do amazing jobs lol (Personal Experience) if you saw scotts car you'd prob have heart attack its insane. He once re sprayed his car cause a bird shat on it.

Yeah I will do mate - I'm off work on Thursday and Friday so will try and get it sorted then. Need to get the electrics sorted as well... being a right pain in the arse!

Thank you to everyone for the supportive comments. I'm glad that the voice of common-sense has finally spoken. This site has been getting worse over the past 6 months - it USED to be a relaxed atmosphere and where people were friendly, but unfortunately it all went wrong. The revolt starts now.

Now, this thread is going back-on-topic, this does not mean the situation has been forgotten.

That argument was actually quite pathetic tbf arguing over amber lights and what not.. Grow up. Im not on anyones side here. If you want to have a project called Zombie then why not. Theres far worse projects out there, but thats what it is...A PROJECT!

Some of you people need to grow up and smell the coffee its a big bad world out there and life is far too short to moan about a set of ****ing amber lights on a car.
