Sorted everything out with insurance today - bought the car off them for £150 so I'm chuffed to bits!

Quotes being done in the new year, so *should* be back on the road by the end of January

Car value - excess - salvage = total

£1120 - £350 - £150 = £620

Granted, it's gonna cost more than that to fully restore, but it's better than a few shiny coppers!

Well, it'll fix the things that were damaged in the crash... but there's still the question of the electrics, stolen sideskirt, alloy refurb... etc.

Who knows... we'll see when the mech gets here and has a look

Nah... the bloke I spoke to (Ian?) said I need to call back in the new year and they'll send someone up to have a gander.

Want some other work done too, so might get it all done in one hit

Where do I start lol

Needs to be done:

- Damage repair
- Electrics (whole thing needs looking at - ghost in the system )
- Remote central locking installation
- Installation of new dials

Optional extras:

- Full glass-out respray (matte black)
- Chassis / rot assessment and treatment if needed
- Brembo upgrade for fronts & rears (need to buy yet)
- Coilover installation (need to buy yet)
- New wheel installation (need to buy yet)
- Misc bits need replacing (bits of worn out plastic, etc)
- Electric mirror upgrade
- Electric window upgrade (need to buy bits)

So quite a bit... not all going to be done at once obviously, but would like to know rough prices so I can aim towards saving

And now I'm thinking of getting some BIG steelies on Toyo Proxes...

Nice and cheap, plus... imo... look pretty cool

Also, just ordered a standard heater control panel, just to have a play with it! Might try LED's out and paint jobs, etc. Basically gonna use it to get a bit of practice at different things
