Hey guys, thought I'd show you what I've got.

I picked the car up from ebay with the tigra alloys already fitted with new kumho tyres, 59k on the clocks, long MOT and full service history back in february :)

Here it is a few weeks ago after fitting some M3 mirrors and wiper arms, debadging the doors, back to blacking the bumpers and giving it a clean:

It seems some of the Ecoflex models are 95Bhp as well after checking google

Other model ranks at

Fuel consumption (urban) 49.6 mpg
Fuel consumption (extra urban) 74.3 mpg
Fuel consumption (combined) 62.8 mpg
0 - 62 mph 13.6 seconds
Top speed 101 mph
Cylinders 4
Valves 16 v
Engine power 75 bhp
Engine torque 126 lbs/ft

Strange how the less powerful model also has worse fuel econemy

Haha, I don't mind them talking about it. I was the one who posted about the Ltd. Edition in the first place.

Glad you like it again now :)

It really needs a wash lol, but other than that I can't really think of anything else to do to it to be honest. Any suggestions are more than welcome though :)

Been after colour coded mirrors for ages but can't find any :( I don't want to do them myself as the colour match is never good. Same reason why I haven't done the door handles really. Boot lock surround is already colour coded.

The paint is smooth on the wheels, it's the wheels themselves that aren't smooth. The front ones are ok but the rears were very rusty and lumpy. Not a lot I can do about that I'm afraid.

Well this hasn't been updated in a while! Not an awful lot to say though. Added these to my small collection the other day:

And subsequently gave the car its first wash in 4 months  Looking much better I must say lol.

I haven't got round to getting any clean pics of it yet though. Very busy with Uni work and the weather's been a bit shite but I'm aiming to get some over the next day or so.

I've been looking for a while and finally found a fairly rare item. An Omega wiper stalk that has the variable intermittent wiper wheel AND features rear wiper control too. Basically this only came on some estate models as the saloon didn't have a rear wiper. So I'll get that wired in when it arrives :)

Only other short term plan is to replace some of the interior LEDs with SMDs.

Thanks for taking the time to read through it :) Here's a previous project thread that includes all of the stuff skipped over on the first post of this thread if you're interested:

Yeah it did look good. But try and find many other colour coded atlantis blues and then try and tell me it's been done quite a lot lol.

Yeah it does get done a lot, but that's because it looks good :p

Could you Post up a quick tutorial when you fit that wiper stalk? Something I'd live to have!
I'm hoping to get it fitted in the next week so I'll post up a tutorial then

It arrived at the weekend. I need to scrape off the R and S as they are to do with the end buttons that worked the Omega's computer screen thingy; nothing I can use on the Corsa. I've just given it a really good clean with a baby wipe. Pretty manky really lol.

My drive belt is getting nice and squeaky on these cold days...is the squealing an indication the belt needs replacing or just tightening?
Lol, turns out yes, yes it is an indication it needs replacing:

If it's been slipping badly for a while, i'd probably replace the belt because the slipping usually damages it over time.
If the belt is knackered tightening it will be a temp fix. I'd say adjust the tention on it and see if it comes back. If it does replace the belt
I didn't even get the chance to tighten it. I drove 15 mins to a friend's house earlier with no problems. When it came to leaving it started squeeling with no electrics on, just the MFD. Gave it a little rev and snap!

It only runs the alternator on my car so it was fine to drive the 10 miles back. Getting a lift to Halfords in the morning to pick up a new belt though lol.

Very easy. If you do have to fit a new belt, it normally stetches a little after the first week or two and may need another slight adjustment.
I'll bear this in mind and I'll try and remember to check it in due course! Thanks for the help.

Yeah I'll prob try that and if I need to I'll change it. Pretty straightforward job isn't it?

Mine squeaks if i start the car with the headlights/heater/stereo already on. I just start it, quick rev then switch stuff on and its quiet :)
Cool story.

Took my centre console and MFD apart tonight ready for an update in a week or two ;) I went further than I needed to in terms of dismantling, but I get carried away sometimes in wanting to find out how all the little bits work and go together lol. All I needed to get was the MFD cover and Centre Console cover lol.

Ever since seeing the coloured heater dial bits on Adam's thread quite a long time ago, I've wanted to do something with mine. Really not sure what to do though so it would be great to hear lots of suggestions and ideas please :) I need some inspiration!

I also noticed when removing everything that the MFD loom had been getting squashed behind the centre console where it connects with the fan vent funnel bit. So I wrapped it up in some insulation tape where the foam had got shagged, and then redirected it around the funnel.

Put everything back together, this is how it will stay for a couple of weeks now.

Turned the ignition on and got blinded lol. Didn't realise the LEDs were quite this bright. I've now temporarily removed them for obvious reasons.

Comments welcome as always

Yeah the differences are only slight. I'm not sure if it is any different to actually remove the front face or not for pre and post 97, but mine was a right pig to do! Maybe doing it when it was pitch black outside and using just the car's map lights for light has something to do with that though lol.

Don't know about you, but when re-connecting the stiff wires that hook up to the dials i had an absolute nightmare getting them back on, horrible job imo  You could flock the console or carbon fibre to liven the interior up a bit ?
I have plans for the centre console and MFD already  I just want to have a small unique touch to the heater dial insert bit. Really don't know what though, not exactly a lot you can do to it I suppose.
