I'm back!

For those of you that followed the thread on my old Corsa you will know that I was wanting to sell up in order to get something a bit quicker. My intention all along was to get a Peugeot 106 GTi but then reality set in...

I'm 28 with two daughters and a girlfriend - a 106 just isn't practical.

Anyway, I sold the Corsa on Sunday and during a complete and utter moment of madness I bought this...

Not everyone's cuppa I'm sure.

The only thing I don't like is the grey interior but it is pretty much in mint condition. I've always said that at some point I'll own a BMW so here it is.

Immediate Plans:

• Wash/clay/polish/wax
• Tailored mats
• Aero front wipers
• HID kit
• Different lights front and rear
• Full service, preferably at a BMW specialist garage
• Decent headunit

Possible Future Plans:

• Different wheels
• Coilovers (lowered just a touch, still want it comfortable and practical)
• Get the very minor rust scabs treated
• Exhaust system

And thats about it at the moment, just want to keep it running sweet and looking good.

Bring on the sh1tty comments, lol!

It is in very good condition for its age, had the best part of £1500 spent on it last year (will put up what its had done to it soon). Apart from a few very minor rust scabs the bodywork is perfect and though its a big car its still more powerful than my Corsa, lol! More practical and less embarrassing than a 106 too considering my age.

Thats another thing, the Corsa is already being ragged around town by the lad that bought it! Saw it the night I sold it! Can see that being written off soon

Its more than quick enough for what I'm after and is more practical than a 'hot hatch' too, I'm more than pleased with it.

friend of mine has a 328 coupe, its gorgeous, fairly determined to put an offer in for it if he ever sells it lol

I had to be sensible to be honest and think about my kids and girlfriend too, they hated the Corsa due to it being small and a really rough ride. My mates used to rip me too for having a boy racer car, lol!

Although a 1.6 3 series is slowish, it'll feel rapid compared to a 1litre Corsa B lol.
I'd like one as well. RWD fun and good for the road trips

Thats it mate! I put a lot of money and effort into the Corsa but there is slow and there is taking the p1ss, lol. Really looking forward to getting started on this.

Just a quick list of things it has had done to it just last year:

* New Front shock absorbers and rear suspension coil springs - May 2010
* New rear brakes pipes and flexi hoses - June 2010
* New front exhaust pipe bracket - June 2010
* Two new keys - July 2010
* New heater fan resistor, pollen filter, and wiper blades - December 2010
* Repair to fuel tank sensor unit and boot loom - December 2010
* New front brake calipers and pads - December 2010
* New front flexi brake hoses and ABS sensor - December 2010

All this work was carried out a speclialist BMW garage and according to the receipts came in at just under £1500. Thats that lot taken care of anyway... can't wait to get it serviced now so I know its good for a while.

I love pretty much any BMW to be honest, lol, and Audi's! I'm not doing anything daft to this, I probably won't even lower it but I'm definitely getting some decent 17s on it, probably M Parallels. Just want it looking and running perfect.

I quite like them but I'm worried that smoked lights might make it look chavvy which isn't the look I'm after at all! Would clear lights all round be better or do smoked ones look ok?

Love it! I'd definitely consider one if I had a bit of money to spend on a new car. As said a 3 door coupe would look better, but I can understand why you need something practical (it's why I had to sell the love of my life!).

Has it had a front end smash at some point? Looks as if the front bumper is leaning away slightly from the grill, but maybe that's what it's meant to be like.

Hmm, I don't know if I'd be put off or not about all of that work that was carried out. Sure it's a lot of money you won't have to be spending but it could also be taken as an indication that more things are going to be packing up soon?! Maybe I'm just being pessimistic lol.

And I'm still confused as to why you didn't strip your old Corsa down further such as removing the euro rear lights etc.

Nevermind lol, as long as you're happy with it A new set of number plates would also help along with the good detailing session you have planned to really help to make it look clean.

I imagine it gets through fuel quite a lot faster than the Corsa did?
