I want to spray the plastic trim around the car Black as opposed to the current grey. How much paint will I need and do I need to sand it down/apply primer or anything like that?

dont paint it use the heat gun trick

look on youtube for heatgun trick or heatgun arches

you could get away with one can, and you dont have to sand it down ...

however if you want to do a ro job you need primer, and need to sand etc...

just depends on how much you can be bothered.

i just gave mine a clean masking taped them and sprayed away, 5 months on and they are still going strong cost me £4

Much better to restore the natural colour using a heat gun.

linseed oil, used it on mine, did about 3 coats and its well black now, barely used any of the bottle and still black after 5 months
