Corsa C 52 plate

I have the following code reader

Used it to solve some issues and find it easy to use.

I now have problem with spare key, it won't remote unlock/lock and the immobiliser light flashes and the car won't start. Tried the synchro thing ie position 2 and holding lock button for 10 seconds but no joy.

I thought I could reprograme via my code reader but it appears not. Do I need different code reader?

Can i use my code reader cable to connect car to laptop?
