Why would the common rail be under the car?! The injectors squirt fuel into the top of the cylinders so it will be at the top, not the bottom, of the engine.
I think the OP is confused. The engine is a common rail injection and the chips increase the fuel pressure in the rail, but i've never seen one that plugs in under the bonnet before.
They usually plug in to the diagnostics port do they not?
