The Steering wheel is locked and the key wont turn I'm not sure why? I want to take the steering wheel off but not sure if the air bag will come out can any one help. Much appreciated.

This kept happening to mine a year ago. I just stopped locking my steering wheel incase it happened again. Did you find out what was causing this?

Taking the steering wheel off won't help, the ignition barrel has a pin that goes into the steering column to lock it.

You need to give the steering wheel a really good turn from side to side while applying a little pressure to the key.

When that happened to mine and it completely locked, you couldnt even move the key or the steering wheel to wiggle it a bit. After twenty mins of trying it somehow released. This only happened because I turned my wheels straight. Have avoided doing this since just incase it happens again.
