there would'nt be any point swaping to a 1.4. 1.6 would be the best.

Fitting a 1.6 can cost in the region of £400-600 including parts and labour if you are lucky.

If you do fit a 1.6, get TB's. Seem to be the best engine mod for it.

Expensive though. A cheaper option is to get a Mantzel or Lexmaul intake. They free up a good amount of horsepower for relatively little cash (£200-300)

It's one or the other .

Both replace the standard intake manifold.
