Been looking on the bay for a new set of front door speakers, foundTHESE. Pioneer component speakers.

They seem pretty good 280w max output (highest I could find on eBay) what are some other good speakers that are better than this but still within that price range and that have tweeters with them?

Or are they good enough? Cheers

I ran Pioneer once thought they were very poor, JL Audio or Vibe and I hear that edge aren't bad for there money either. My moto is replace once with good ones then leave them be lol, had my JL Audio for around 3 years now still sound clear and good.

Yeah exactly, I want to get something good so I'm going to try and buy the best I can get so I don't have to keep changing them all the time. Generally, are they easy to wire in?

Max ratings mean nothing. RMS is what you're looking for

Very easy you will need the adapter kit too.

They look interesting, think I may look at getting a set of those. Any extra wiring required with the 'crossovers'? (I think that's what they are called, the block parts on the wire)

Most likely in the future, but for now I just want to upgrade the door speakers. Although, if it isn't too much work and doesn't cost a heap then I may do it at the same time

Sounds a bit off i know, but under powering speakers CAN (not necessarily will) cause damage, and tbh, it doesnt matter what the RMS output is as it will only ever output as much power as the Headunit will provide. (usually only 15-30w max RMS)

I would be inclined to go cheap now, then once you have an amp get some half decent components as they will sound much better

Hmmm I think I may have a look at getting an amp whilst I'm at it then, know of any good ones that are not hugely expensive?

Vibe are good for the money, i picked up a 4 channel 700w RMS deathbox for £70 i think it was.

If you got a 4 channel you could use the rear 2 channels bridged for a sub until you can/want to get a monoblock for a sub. That would give you a nice, simple all roubd good set up.
