I have a 2005 corsa sxi 1.2 and was wondering how to get the gear knob off coz its all worn. i have tried twisting and pulling but it hasnt moved at all. It has the lift reverse so im also worried about breaking that.

Anybody know how?

I very carefully cut it off after trying for over a hour or so of trying to twist it off while the shaft was locked.

ok, is it easy to cut through, and when i get it off will any other gear knob fit on there?

Yes i didn't take me long less than 5 Min's but like you said you will need another lift reverse gear knob.

Ok thanks, i assume the lift reverse just stays in place?

Tbh I would get a better looking one than that, Rickbrook are nice (Little more money though)
