Hi my fuel gauge in my 53 corsa c Sri doesn't work it's not worked since I've had it I just thought sender was dead but looked in to it more and it turns out its not sender as fuel light comes on when low. It has Irmscher dials the metal faced ones

Sounds like the mechanism that moves the needle is broken! I'd expect you could just buy a standard set of clocks and take the mechanism out.
