Last MOT I had to have some of the CV boots replaced on my Corsa.

As one obviously had dirt ingress it has made a loud clicking when turning sharp right at low speed for about a year. Thing is, I don't know which one and at 30 quid a pop I can only afford to replace the faulty part.

So, the MOT is in August and Id like to have the offending joint replaced.

Do the symptoms point to an inner or outer one? I don't want to buy the wrong one.

Usually it's the outer one - but I'd always remove the shaft and inspect the joint if you're not sure.

I would normally have a go at this myself but with a 7 week old boy I don't have the time to work in it and need to use a garage. Id rather do the legwork for them in the fault finding and parts sourcing as it reduces the bill.
