X reg 1.0 12v Corsa. Help! I am trying to remove the driveshafts on my son's Corsa to replace the split driveshaft boots. The outer ends are disconnected from the hubs ok, but I cannot disengage the inboard ends from the diff housing. The Haynes manual suggests using a flat blade bar to lever it out, but there is nothing to gain a purchase on and the LHS appears recessed! Grrr! Grrr! Any good ideas on this one? Thanks for looking.

ok i leave that alone now.

ok to release the drive shaft you can just pull it really hard it will come but you have to pull it straight or it will be harder.

it being vauxhall 12 its some times a knightmare but as its been said above, once you have the shafts disconnected just get a good grip and pull with all your might, of if your me and you just need it out tie the shaft o your other car and pull lol

Thanx to all for the advice. Job now done, as you say just a sharp hard pull on the driveshaft will dis-engage it from the diff:thumbs_up:
