hi guys just wondering if anyone knows whether i can teach my mate who has an automatic only licence to drive a manual the same way i could sit with someone with a provisional licence as i'm over 21 and had licence 3 years

Wow. There are two license in uk? I got mine in the states and it doesn't matter if car is auto or manual

if you pass in a manual car ,it covers both manual and auto cars... if you pass a test in a automatic car ,it only gives you a full license to drive autos.
you still classed as a learner in a manual car.

i odnt think it is. Because its a specific category on the license for a auto. And a different one for a manual, so might have to get another provisional.

damn i'm gonna just call dvla tuesday and find out for sure did try looking on-line but couldn't find a definite answer

i looked on direct gov, and it says obviously that you can only drive an auto car, with an auto license. So i assume that would extend to learning as well.

No it doesn't.

You need to have the provisional entitlement put back on it to learn in a manual which means sending it off to DVLA.

Doing so without the entitlement is Driving Otherwise Than In Accordance
