Hi all, I have a Corsa Easytronic 2001 model that was Displaying the dreaded "F" on the dash display & was then going into limp mode & not changing up through the gears. It is now fixed at a cost of £12, could have been done for £6 via ebay, but you only get what you pay for!!

My symptoms were..... would run fine until warm/hot then it would play up.

Turned out to be the engine temperature sensor, but the sensor & its readings were fine on face value, you can replace this yourself with basic tools, even mole grips if you are tool less.

I checked the transmission fluid in the gearbox, another easy job, mine was bright red & looked in good nick.

Don't always assume that it is something serious when you get the F displayed.

Welcome to the Forum.

Glad to hear that you are 'sorted'.
Temperature sensors can cause all sorts of strange problems. The correct temperature showing on the gauge is no guide at all to the sensor NOT being the problem.

It's good that you have bought a decent one, some of those aftermarket sensors aren't much better than the 'duff' one! I always use only genuine GM (Vauxhall) or Bosch ones.

Regards
