here goes...

i have a x14xe (1999) with immboliser, i have bought a SRI superchip, and an SRI NON immboliser ECU, which if i unplug the immboliser ring plug will run

BUT, the eml comes on and has a rev limit at 4.8krpm, code is knock sensor, which i found out that the earlier looms have different wiring for the knock sensor, i have solved this problem but moving the wiring in the loom to the correct place, but still have the same fault

but if i keep this wiring in the correct place for the SRI ecu and plug my ecu in the eml comes on (as you would expect) but only if you boot it (not at tick over like the sri ecu one) and still has standard 6.5krpm rev limit

any ideas? all i can think of is that the ECU is faulty!
