Hey, having some problem with my engine after having some crappy "dirty fuel"

keeps cutting out randomly, sometimes does it sometimes doesnt!,


To start it have to put the throttle all way down and let it rev so it keeps running!!

Think the chokes sticking as it sometimes throws black smoke out but i havent had chance to have a look at it

maybe a sparkplug?

Anyone know/had this..?

There is obviously crappy fuel still in the system, like demon said it would be worth changing the fuel filter as this could be clogged up causing fuel starvation (happened to mine) or buy some redex fuel system/injector cleaner and flush it out.

Definatly crappy fuel, ran crap in my car,bros car and my dads car.. even the lawnmower!

Eek crappy fuel. You'll need to shove some injector cleaner in the tank & change your fuel filter. :thumbs_up:

i'd probably find it as soon as i look tommorow but.. where's the fuel filter located?

looks like this

when you take it out tap the end arrow pointing up in the palm of your hand

you should see fine sandy rust and crap. if itis the problem.

I had a simalar problem with mine. Mine was more than the fuel filter my distribution cap was mashed up and my plugs were not gapped properly try them aswell

i had a simelar prob with an escort, put a petrol diesel mix in and it missed smoked and wouldnt idle, so i filled it up with petrol and a forte fuel cleaner and drove around till on empty and filled it up again with anthor cleaner and it was ok then. i have loads of this forte if you want one.

Had a look for the fuel filter today couldnt find the bleady thing anywhere!! Positive it has one??

it runs along the cill mate.

try looking just before the off side rear wheel.

Corsa fuel filter doesnt look like that and isnt in the engine bay. Fuel filter is located along the offside inner sill near the fuel tank
