Hi, my engine management light turned on yesterday and when i switched the car off and on it took ages and ages to start.
Once started something was smoking in my engine bay, i had a look and the cable that runs from what it seems the brake fluid tank to my engine :S lol i cant really explain it, but thats burnt out a bit, once i moved it and taped it so it didnt touch my bonnet everythings been working fine.

What is that cable for?

thanks

This isnt my engine bay, but you see the wire between the red lines ive drawn, part of that had burnt, it was touching the bonnect because the two clips that hold it have broken. Does anyone know what this wire is and what it affects?

Thanks.
