quick query will a 1.2 flexi pipe fit to my 1.0 cat? rather than get a step up pipe to fit a center section?

I don't think it will.

A 1.2 flexi pipe will be designed for a 1.2 exhaust and as mentioned above, the 1 litre uses a smaller bore of exhaust than the 1.2 model.

You mentioned you know the bore is different already. How do you expect it to fit, if you know they have different bores?

i know that but i did a different car from a 1.4 injection to 1.1 carb and the flanges fit together, i'm just trying to save time in the long run as i plan on building a new engine in the summer

not a corsa though. corsa 1litre and 1.2 aren't the same bore
