found this on floor after fitting cylinder head on my 1.2 16v corsa c and i havnt got a clue what it is somebody tell me its nothing to do with the engine, it says lock and unlock on the bottom and i have no idea where it has come from your help is appreciated guys.

sorry not really sure but it looks more like a tool
than any part of your engine or any engine i have rebuilt

yes thats what im thinking colin, it has threads on it to screw into something, i cant remember any of my tools looking like this tho lol.

looks like its to lock the engine stop the cam moving maybe when fitting cam belt or a type of puller to push a bearing out with the bit on the top tightened up to push out bearing or lock a cam in place so you don't put cam belt on a tooth out

sorted colin it was out the bottom of my torque wrench thats a relief
