Hi I've been driving for a little while now and i want to start modifying my car and im going to start off with some nice wheels.

I have a 1998 Corsa 1.2 Breeze 16V with 13" standard wheels on at the moment

Now from what Ive been told you can only fit up to 15" on a Corsa B without having to touch the arches etc...but ive seen some posts on here and some people say you can get 17". Ive been looking for a forum on corsa's for ages so this looks trustworthy.

I've been on rimstyle.co.uk and it looks amazin! I have my eyes set on wolfrace katanas...and some others but what information can you tell me that i need? Ideally id like to go for 17"s but i dont want the speedometer to screw up on my car when i put people in it so would you be able to tell me the options i have? Would 16"s go on without any other work? What have others done in this situation?

Thanks for any help,

Will.

In my opinion I would go for either 15's or 16's but definately no bigger. 17's just don't look right on a corsa although they will fit with the right offset. When looking for your alloys you want the offset to be as close to ET49 as possible and the PCD to be 100

Which would be better out of 15 or 16 in your opinion?

Could you explain what those figures are in a little bit more detail? Sorry im not very experienced with this kind of thing!

I'm not actually sure what they mean - someone on here will be able to explain the numbers better its just stuff i've learnt from my time on here. Out of the 15's and 16's my preference would be 15's with low profile tyres such as 195/45/R15 tyres and then lower the car aswell. Both are easy enough to fit - I just prefer the look of 15's with the corsa being a small car aswell. Is it a 3dr corsa or 5dr? Dearing on here has 16's on a 5 door which I think looks ace but obviously the 5dr is a bit bigger than the 3dr so it suits them more in my eyes. 15's on a 3dr in my opinion

Hi mate, you can have any size alloy on a corsa just so long as the offset is between 45-49, and get pcd 100, i wouldnt go for Wolfrace Katanas mate i think theyre horrid, but thats personal opinion, go for some nice multispokes. Are you planning on lowering your car?:)

I had some 17" TSW Pace wheels on mine for a while which were really nice multispokes. Your speedo wont get affected hardly at all especially at lower speeds so you dont have to worry about that. According to the max power haynes manual, your speedo will only be slightly inaccurate at speeds over 70mph but it really is an insignificant amount.

Ive got a 5 door, so 16's would fit ok would they???

Would i need to modify anything if i was to get 17's? What about having a full load of people in the car with 17's?

Is there anywhere i can go so specialist people can have a look for me n tell me whats best?

Thanks.

You could have 17's if they are the correct off set like we said above and there wont be any scrubbing, best option i think is 15's or 16's depending on your budget and lowering your car 40mm:)

Ye like already mentioned if you get the correct offset you will be fine with 17"s. Ive got 17"s on mine and they arent the correct offset and i do get scrubbing if i fill the car up. I just dont fill the car up very often so i dont have a problem.

If i was to buy them online where would be the best place to get them fitted? How much would it roughly cost?

What about insurance? Have any of you delared your wheels? How much would it put my premium up?

Thanks.
