It's a bit of a pain of a job. You need easy access to the underside of the car, but it is possible.

if you look above the rear axle, you should see the hand brake cables. you'll see the main cable coming from the middle of the car and running back to what is called the equaliser plate which splits the one cable into 2 cables. this is where you'll find the adjuster and you use that to adjust the tightness of the handbrake. as Demon said, you'll need 2 spanners. its fairly easy to do, i only jacked up one side when i did mine.

hi there sorry to be a pain again but do you know if it's possible to purchase the adjuster barrel and nut separate from the cables?
