Hiya,

If any one has Corsa 1.2 16v (2000) Head experience, can they help please?

I just lifted the head and found these items sitting on the block...

I have no idea where they come from, can anyone suggest where they are from? i assume timing housing side as they were on the left hand side of the head (looking from the front) next to the timing cover?

Have you taken the tensioner off the timing chain? Those look about the size of the tensioner spring. If you've just lifted the head I can't see how they would be, but maybe you've already removed the timing cover?

It's the chain tensioner plunger and spring. You should of put a pin in before removing the head. They have just popped out and onto the cylinder block as you removed the head.

If you are not familiar with these engines, I would suggest that you get hold of a copy of the Haynes Manual which covers your model, this will help with re-assembly and there are details in there telling you how to deal with that chain tensioner.

Thanks guys, yup it was the tensioner, as soon as i saw the head in daylight it clicked!

second problem....car now wont start after head fitment.

Got no spark and cant hear fuel pump running on second click.

appreciate any help?

Someone suggested Crankshaft sensor? How does that sound?
