Looked on ebay amd there is a tint spray that ranges from prices upto £15, just wondering whether this gives a good finish as i think it will come out like paint, and do you spray the inside of the lens or the outside?? :SThere has been about a dozen of these topics so might be worth using the magic search function in future. But to answer your question there are two ways of doing it. The first is the cheap option which is a can of tint spray from halfords. Spray it onto the lights and then you can laquer them to get a better finish. The second and better way, which is the way I did my old ones, is to mix a little black paint into some laquer and spray it onto the lights in thin layers building it up until you get the level of tint you want. I did mine dark to give a reflective style finish. The second method looks 10x better but obviously its not an option to everybody. Some people say to leave the reflector strip untinted but this isnt necessary if you do it properly as mine were black but the reflectors were still clearly visible underneath.
ok, i get paid on thursday so im gonna do it then. is the liquid in the can actually black then or does it look clear? really dont wanna mess them up cus tht means i gotta buy some black lexus ones then and there £50 loloutside, take lights off is best, spray on in light coats may need, 8, nine coats of it, make sure its dry thou befor each layer, i did this, last september and its still looking good
They look mint lol exactly what im looking for! will go nice with my silver paintwork and black alloys. you selling the dtm mirrors? in need of some of them aswell loli have actually got some tinted lights that ill sell u for £15 if you want em lol or of anyone wants em ??
Not 100% but I think you can just stick some masking tape over the reflector, anyone ever sprayed the lights with them on the car? Im thinking if I mask the area off then should be ok, or is it best to just take the lights out?did you tint the lights wth the red strip across them, or did ou buy them like that?
