I want to lower my Corsa b from standard height as it looks like a rally car...

It's used as a family car so 3 people/shopping etc so don't want it scrapping the floor.

What height would you drop it to?

60mm would have it looking sweet, I had mine down 80 and quite often had 4 people in aNd didn't scrape to bad

Thanks I was afraid someone would say 60mm as I'll have to by shocks as well alm:

I bet 40mm wouldn't make much difference?

60 would drop it just over the wheels i think. Its always best to buy shocks when using lowering springs anyway

Yeah, but remember you get what you pay for as in buy cheap don't expect a comfy ride but they will do the job

I was down 80mm front and 100mm back. Didnt have to worry about scraping as I dont have any friends.

Yeah, it's all about the tyres.
195/50 R15 on a 40mm drop IMO

Yes I know there different sizes I meant would it make a difference as in looking good with only 40mm drop, or do people think having slimmer tyres would make 40mm drop look better.

I had mine down 100, 3 adults + 50kg of audio+box in the back, still didn't scrape.

60mm sounds best though.

I'd recommend 50 profile tyres if your going no more than -40mm. Less arch gap and 45's won't look right.

45s look fine, if not better imo. Although i believe that it may affect the speedo (not by much).

How would there be less arch gap if the tyres were of a smaller profile? With 55 wouldn't the arch gap be smaller as the tyre is thicker?

I was saying that there would be less of an arch gap with 50's than 45's.
