Standrd XE is 156hp IIRC give or take a few, I'd day do some more reserach before "dropping your engine in" I think let gives around 240 on boost might be wrong about the LET Lee or Dearing will know

I always thing you have the LET Vegas forget it's dearing

First thing i'm going to say is looking for a ball park bhp has to be the worst way to look at it ..

Because quite frankly means nothing ..

As said XE should give you more than you need and a lot cheaper than a LET

LET is around 206 bhp standard, but there's plenty of scope for tuning, as with the XE.
Cost wise the XE can be done to a good standard for half the cost of the LET. It all depends what you want out of it.
XE power will be pretty much instant, LET you have to wait for the turbo to spool up.
The decider for me was the dump valve I'm afraid, can't beat it.

As said by Lee the C20XE (2.0 16v) is the cheaper option and good for 150bhp out of the box so is probably the option to go for if your not the most mechanically minded of people. The C20LET (2.0 16v turbo) is the more powerful of the two with 200bhp but being a turbo can be tuned very easily but as such requires more maintenance and is quite an expensive conversion.

buy one that is done unless you are confident with a spanner and soldering iron. I done my 2.0 conversion all partws for just under £400. I am doing a conversion on my van 1.7td to 1.7td isuzu engine. This is harder than the 2.0 corsa lol
