Whats that black metal flap under the sunroof is it a wind deflector or something? - mine is near on disintegrated with rust at the ends and will have to be replaced at some time in the future. I suppose its going to be a main dealer part, and i would say if I got one from a scrapyard then it will be just as bad with rust?

Yeah it's a wind deflector. When you open the sunroof a certain distance it pops straight out so that it doesn't get too breezy in your car

should get a good one from a scrappy. the issue is, its a one peice mech so the roof lining has to come out and the full cartridge....

my one is so rusty it dont even pop up on its own!

I thought I saw 2 tiny circlips at the end and i thought you just remove them and the plate comes out?

mine doesn't pop up on its own but will go down as you close the sunroof need to get mine fixed though

There is two clips on the ends, but its held in further in middle, which as said goes under rof and above headlining.

My clips just went rusty, so could replace, without rmeoving all other crap

oh bugger it, thats a shame. I might as well just paint it then with black smooth hammerite then rather than removing the roof lining
