On the 1.2 16v it is mounted inside the timing chain cover and runs directly off the crankshaft. So you'd need to remove the timing cover to get at it.

cheers am goin to put it in to get the chain done in the next few weeks and as the oil lite takes about 2seconds to go out i wondered if it was worth while putting a new pump on at the same time ????

Two seconds isn't disastrous, so long as the oil light isn't coming on when the engine is hot. A new pump may help of course, but there's no way of telling from the information available here. Check the filter housing - if oil is draining back into the sump overnight it will take a couple of seconds to prime the filter.

Or get an oil pressure test done.
