ive had the oil changed recently and new filters etc and had the engine all checked over at the same time, this was a cple of months ago now and i was just wondering can anyone throw any light (no pun inteneded lol) on this situation?

how do u go abt correcting the pressure? or cud it just be a wiring fault cos i know its had its fair share of wiring faults when the car was being serviced. almost every wiring system in the car has had to be looked at and altered due to neglect of the previous owner.....?

These pressure warning lights only come on for a reason - IE low pressure

you risk buggering up the head if the oil isn't getting up there.

The engine may need flushing if the oilways are clogged due to poor maintainance

well the engine's been flushed before the new oil was put into it and im still not sure how the pressure can be low cos i trust my mate who did all the engine work to check all things like tht, but as i say it only comes on after having gone around a right hand bend, left hand bends or on straight roads, bumpy or flat, nothin happens, just right hand bends

One of the reasons could be that the oil pump is knackered and cannot put enough oil through. Flushing is a double edged sword unfortunately, and whilst it can clear oilways, it can also open gaps up in pumps around the seals when the engione is worn and such, as well as in the hydraulic valve lifters which opens up the tappet clearances and make the them rattle - saw this on an escort years ago which had loads of oil changes missed.

Are you sure it isn't the handbrake light? Corsa's seem to do that when the brake fluid levels gets a bit low, I originally thought it was oil too as I was usually busy concentrating so couldn't really take notice of the light...

i had the same problem, i took my Corsa C into a garage and found out i had a faulty light, this cost me £17 to repair, i dunno if thats solved any problems. i would get this checked by a Mechanic because this can cause problems in the future.
