Hi Guys ...i am not very mechanically enclined however i tend to research as much as i can trying to help myself :) ...I have a corsa d 1.4 i believe it has a A14XER motor. I recently bought this vehicle and there is a warning light on the dash its a car with a spanner through it. The car has no power and wont rev up. I took it for diagnostic and the fault that i got was C1112 something pertaining to the timing being in advance. i had the timing chain replaced fault cleared however still the little car with the spanner was on and the car still has no power..I again did a diagnostic read and was told to replace the O2 (Lambda sensor) i had this replaced fault cleared however the little car with the spanner still remains and the car still has no power. There is also something regarding a manufactures specific fault stored that wont clear ..i was advised to remove the catalytic converter so i took the car in and after inspection the people at the exhaust place told me that the cat was clean no blocks seems everything inside was already taken out. i was advised by the exhaust specialist to insert a Lambda spacer the one they gave me was straight this still did not help. (the lambda sensor i googled was a 90 degree one) not sure if this will make a difference. I am getting a rich smell from the cars exhaust as if the car is running to lean..Please any ideas of what i could do if you need any additional information i might have left out please feel free to ask.
