Since registering on here I have learnt quite a bit and since I'm hopefully going to be changing my front seats soon I tought I should ask more about pre-tensioners just to learn a bit more. Just stuff like what they do and if you were in a crash and they fired would you need new ones etc - just things like that. Just interested to learn a bit more.

if your in a crash i think it goes off an locks the clip your belt goes into.when you have had a crash you'll see a red tag poking out of it and that means it usless an time for a new one. :)

the tensioners is connected to the outer runner of the seat when the seat is forced forward or back where the tensioners is connected it actas as a trigger and fired the tensioner which in turn pulls the belt tight leaving you a wee yellow tag to say, done my job :)
