I am having problems with a pulley setup on my Corsa 1.2merit/GSI conversion.

Without the GSi engine mount I loose the power steering pump and the belt tensioner mounting.

So, is it possible to replace the ribbed belt system with the pulleys and belt (v belt) from the 1.2 putting them on the GSi motor, I can then run a v belt direct the alternator without the need of a tensioner as I should be able to tension it through the alternator.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

get an older style v belt pas pump, an alternator off an old vauxhall like a 1400 8v and change the bottom pulley then run it with the v belt rather then the ribbed one

Or just get a Sport/GSi mount with all the pulley system on.

the GSi mount is differnt and wont fit the 1.2 shell

I have found that i cant run a V bottom pully as the ribbed one has a timing wheel on the back dont it :(

any other ideas?
