I have a 2002 (52) 1.7 DTI and i travel around 60 miles a day, when driving on main roads for a few miles around 70 mph the car will pull back for a second, the EML with spanner appears and I lose power, not full, but some.
The engine does sound louder so I always slow down and after a while the EML will dissapear and all sounds fine.

Im so stuck as to what it is, ive had the turbo changed so i know its not that and cant work out what else. My garage couldnt help really, can you? :welcome:

If you read the fault codes (with the pedal test) you can see what the fault code was, let us know and we can help further.

I'd bet it's a code about the turbo if it's failed once and that was the last thing to be worked on.

I learn something new everyday, the code was 0335:

P0335 Crankshaft Sensor Incorrect Signal C-06
P0335 Crankshaft Sensor Open Circuit C-06
P0335 Crankshaft Sensor Incorrect Signal C-06
