Hi,
First post so please be kind.

Corsa 1.2 Club factory (X plate yr 2000)

I am trying to remove the factory fitted stereo from my Corsa and replace it with a newer one.

I've made two 'U' shaped unlocking keys with an old wire coathanger. I've removed the 4 allen security screws from the stereo face and Inserted them into the four vacant holes. I can feel the locking pins detract but the stereo won't budge an inch. Is there a bolt or screw underneath the stereo cradle/holder that needs to be removed before it will slide out? Any ideas please?

Remove ash tray and try pushing from behind

Nope that should be all maybe try pulling the prongs outwards to the side, alternatively take out ashtray remove 2 posi screw then 2 upper screws top of fascia panel remove the front and may have better access that way.

thanks Vegas and Marc24 (Hoggy that sounds really painful but funny at the same time!)
I have to replace the two capless bulbs on the blower switch display panels this weekend and as I remember I think the stereo can be firmly gripped from the back when the centre console is removed, will try some brute force, failing that I will remove the ash tray as well.
