I have had a look at a few places for some advice on this but they all seem to say it's common to corsa's of that age (1995) but they never say what you can do about it to fix it. It doesn't seem to make any difference by tightening the belt. Does anyone know if there are any guards that can be put on or any modification to stop water getting on belt?

Tightening it should fix it, if not just get a new belt - don't think there is any way to protect it!

Stick some talcon poweder on it, if it stops it tighten the belt more, befor eyou tighten as said may aswell buy a new one only about £3

thanks for the advice guys ^_^ just went and got two drive belts... one for back-up lol

edit... the two belts that i have bought were smaller than the one that was originally on so the fit is now more tight, making it not slip as much... i must have bought the wrong one originally.
