Hi,

I have recently bought a 2007 corsa design. (Not the one from my previous thread! All great has fsh etc well looked after, tidy but there is just one thing that bothers me, it seems to be slow when changing gears. I can't really explain it any other way it just seems delayed when changing?? Any ideas on what this could be?

If you mean that it tends to 'hang on' to a gear for longer than you would expect, before changing up to the next one, the first thing to check is that you have got it in 'economy' mode. If it is in 'sports' mode, it will hold on to gears for longer before changing up.
Anything other than that, and I would suggest that you get any fault codes read before having any 'guess' work repairs done to it, as this could cost you money that you may not really need to spend.

Thanks for your reply. I don't think I have a sports mode?? (1.4design model) if I do I'm missing it when looking!

Just to add it changes down gears smoothly all fine just when going forward from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd (it's a fully automatic and not semi automatic if that helps?) it's changing at about 2500 revs from 1st to 2nd and about 3000 revs to 3rd I think (I'm not much of a car person so really sorry if that doesn't make much sense!) it drives beautifully, smooth no jerking on gear change, it's just like if you were driving a manual and you hear it needs changing this seems to hang on longer than it should do, any ideas??

I still think that getting any fault codes read, could save you the possibility of having work done/parts fitted which are not required.
Most GOOD garages would be able to do that for you, but if there is a Vauxhall specialist (rather than a main dealer) in your area, it might be better to consult them.
