I am attempting to install a Sony S300BTX Bluetooth Stereo in my Corsa C
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/mfi-ipod-car-audio/dsx-s300btx

My Corsa was registered in 2005, and doesn't have a standard ISO stereo connector. I brought an adapter from:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....23957&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_1517wt_1199

I have done the installation as follows
• The Sony stereo comes with a 16 pin plug to stereo ISO plugs. The Vauxhall (Opel) socket shown here:

• is plugged in to the adapter socket:

• Then the adapter in plugs in the Sony ISO plug here

• and then sony 16 pin plugs into the stereo

• I then have the Ariel adapter plugged into the loom to the headset also:

The problem I have is nothing happens when I hit the power button. The Sony stereo instructions ask you to push the reset button before first use. I do this the fan on the back comes on for about 45 seconds then goes off. I tried turning it on but nothing happens.
I've never done this before and was hoping for a plug and play installation. Any help is really appreciated and if I get it to work I'll post some pictures. Thanks

Managed to sort it

I was reading around a there was a red wire attached to the adapter. With a lot of effect I dropped the wire down and attached it to the cigarette lighter and the stereo came to life. Solved
