Hi,

My dad seems to think my steering is out. Basically when I go to turn the wheel, there is some play & the wheels only really start turning when i really tug the wheel round. It should start turning as soon as I move the wheel. I can turn the wheel a few inches and nothing will really happen.

It's not;

• The Balljoints - they've been replaced
• The tracking - that's been checked

What could it be? How much would I need to roughly pay in order to get it sorted?

I reckon my steering rack might be worn.

steering rack rod (poss) i had this replaced on a punto only cost me 90 quid but that did include both balljoints as well. what i would do mate and i keep posting this website but its fantastic try www.vauxhallmechanics.co.uk its free

Or maybe no one else admits they have problems lol. I'm trying to get it perfect. It's done 153,000 miles! Can't really complain!

Touch wood... Not had any major problems yet. I sort anything that goes wrong asap. Service it regular. How many miles you got?
