The below photo is of a Peacekeeper missile system being tested at the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

The lines shown are the re-entry vehicles -- one Peacekeeper can hold up to 10 nuclear warheads, each independently targeted. Were the warheads armed with a nuclear payload, each would carry with it the explosive power of twenty-five Hiroshima-sized weapons.

What do you mean by re-entry vehicles?
They look like lazers to me.

Is a stunning if not intriguing (sp?) pic though.

i guess that means the casing that burns away when coming back in from the stratosphere! p.s. they are moving at 4000+MPH :)

as for intriguing the funniest thing is the name of em, PEACE KEEPER MISSILES yeah, they'll keep the peace alright!

As far as I know the tests are fired into a lake / the sea so over the distance the impacts cant be seen

just looks strange because there all equal spaces apart lol, lovely photo though, might chop my car to use this as the back ground!
