Ive taken off the black plastic strips, and taken around an hour getting all the glue off but the paint looks lighter than the rest of the car. What should i do?

Any ideas?

Not much you can do - loads of polish and elbow grease!

I've done a few of these cars with the same issue... takes about half hour with a machine polisher to bring the colour back :D

Thanks all, i tried a hair dryer earlier and it seems to work but very slowly, also where i have peeled the glue off it has left very light scratches but nothing to major, so i will t - cut and polish it.

Thanks again!

you're right. I think it is partly due to moisture getting trapped under the rub strip and then affecting the CC.... A polish by machine will get it out easily (as they geberate heat) and at the same time remove any marks caused by the removal process
