Hi I've just had a new timing chain fitted on my 2003 1.2 corsa elegance, the engine is really quiet until it warms up after approx 10 mins and then it makes a ticking sort of noise. I've took it back to the garage that fitted the timing chain and they said it was normal corsa noise or due to the oil thinning as the engine warms up. But could it be something else or could someone tell me if this is normal as it is driving me mad as they disconnected my battery so my radio does not work as I have not got the code.
thanks

The problem with diagnosing noises is you need to be able to hear them to do anything useful.

It depends how loud the noise is - if your engine was noisy before the timing chain was replaced then maybe it was masking this noise?

You can buy a mechanic's stethoscope quite cheaply which will enable you to pinpoint the source of the noise - if you can tell us where it's coming from we can offer better suggestions or advice.
