Hi can any body help me pleas?

My young son bought a corsa 1.2 sxi on a 10 plate but I can not purchase a timing locking kit for this car. I bought one from ebay but found out it will not fit this year.

can any body tell me where i can get one from.
Itried Vauxhalls and they said they dont sell it as the engine is only 3 years old.
i think they said its the 1.2zxr engine .

As I said in the other thread you posted in - I don't think they're made yet (as an aftermarket tool). But I can check with someone I know who works at Vauxhall when I next see them.

Try www.sealey.co.uk They do make the tools, BUT make sure that they have the one which covers your model/year.

That's the problem - the latest kit they do is for the previous version of the engine. They don't as yet stock them for the later one.

I'm with my mate and even the main dealers are waiting for the timing kit. But we have looked at a work around. The kit is the same but you must lower the sump. Then you need to use the same phase disc tool and tippex the position of the sensor mark onto it.
