In the dry yes, in the wet, not really.
It all depends on your driving style etc.
If you take it steady and don't hammer it you will be fine, if you start driving around like your having a race, you'll encounter problems.
I got a set of Toyo Proxes T1-S for £40 each, and getting fitted on friday. They are a softer compound, but apparently its well worth the lower edurance for the ride and grip.
As mentioned above, Ebay is a good bet, you can get branded tyres really cheaply. Always better to spend that little extra IMHO, same as anything...you get what you pay for.
Been looking at tyres on ebay because wanna replace current one's to a lower profile and found these - do you reckon they'll be ok for just your everyday driving?
