Why does this shit always happen to me :palm:

Just came back from a drive after another garage had a go of setting up the camber and tracking and it's worse than ever.

Case of camber not set up correctly, or was set up correctly but camber bolt might have came loose?

Looks like the camber bolts come loose. Happened to me when I got mine on as the tab wasn't positioned properly so it didn't lock tight then drove down the road like it was on jelly :palm:

Yeah exactly that mate. And with not having power steering on mine it was throwing the wheel out my hands lol! Sounds like they haven't positioned that funny tab thing properly

Just a local place, but apparently an Audi / Skoda / VW specialist who do camber & tracking all the time.

I don't think they're going to be too keen to spend a lot of time on it tbh. The usual comments like "it's lowered so it's impossible to get it 100%" and "there's no oem numbers for what to set the camber to" ect before they done the work.

Hopefully have something sorted next week with a proper place but will speak to these guys again first. Nearest proper place is about 1 hour drive there and 1 hour back and charge about £100 but looks like i have no choice

This happened to me as well.

I took it for tracking and a few weeks down the line intermittently the wheel would wobble when driving normally (you might remember me posting a thread about it), I tightened the bolts that go from suspension to hub and was fine after that! I could also corner better.

Out of interest how much camber did you run with the bolts?

The bolts were standard bolts. They were not camber ones lol. But when I was driving it I think camber was about 180 Degrees lol.
so horizontal?

Went back to the place now and right enough the camber bolt had came slack. Tightened it up and watched the guy set it.
Problem is the guy sets the camber using a device that measures the camber when the wheel is off and the car is jacked up (it pushes against the driveshaft)
Problem is with the car lowered again the camber then changes so now when i accelerate it pulls to the left and when i brake it it pulls to the right. Wonderful

Que a 50 mile drive coming up to a place that users laser alignment and pay approx £100 to have it set up. Total bill so far with trying to stop the front end eating tyres is about £500+
In hindsight i would have been cheaper buying lots of tyres instead...
Can't wait to get a VW

Shame about all the costs mate! Mines fine at the moment as its easily set on Max camber and tracked pretty much spot on but I think I will shy away from getting them set up properly and take them out
