There is a plug that looks like a diagnostic plug just behind the left hand headlight on a Corsa B 1.2 16v 2000 reg. Could someone let me know what its used for. Thanks

I haven't at the moment but I'll try and get one. The socket is on a bracket pointing upwards and is grey with a dust cover on to keep the connections clean. I messed around with it by shorting a couple of the pins out and the cooling fan came on

could be a plug for a higher spec one with aircon?
bingo, we have a winner! its one of the plug connections from the a/c pump to start the fan when the a/c system is running. my bro has this socket and it boggled me for a little while until i went through the wiring diagram for it.

Its really weird how vauxhall have mounted it to look like some kind of diagnostic socket:confused:
Thanks for clearing that up though, I'll sleep easier tonight
