Hi Folks,

I drained the coolant last week, and installed a new hose on the top right of the radiator, as it was leaking. I then refilled, ran the engine a little, topped up etc, and have made sure she has stayed topped up.

However, the coolant pump (probably) is now whining when at low revs, so I'm wondering if there is some air or something trapped in there that I haven't managed to get out. I've also noticed that there doesn't seem to be any pressure behind the coolant cap when I remove it like usual.

Any one had any experience with this sort of thing, or have any suggestions?

Car:
1.2 16v Corsa C SXI, 51 plate.

Cheers

Best way to get rid of air locks from what I've found is take the cap off the bottle, then let the car get up to temp and wait for the fluids to boil over the bottle. Turn off, wait for it to settle, top up as necessary, and repeat if required.
