Right guys, My MFD is flickering etc. I initially thought it was some dodgy connections etc so I opened it all up and found nothing. Can someone please confirm that if I cut off Wire on Pin 7, it will fix the issue on my corsa 1.0 2000 Club?

Thanks!!

Glad it helped you.

Does it have the sane mfd/tid ? If so then yes I presume because it should use the same connector / MFD. This is a great tutorial and has helped me a lot.

If you are trying to keep the date on all the time then yes, cut the red/grey wire on a corsa B

Did the clock gradually lose time when this happened? I have put another vaux stereo in and the mfd flickers (sometimes)
I wonder if this is a volt drop that is causing the clock to run slower.

What do you mean by "gradually lose time" ?

I have a aftermarket head unit, when I went over bumps and stuff it flickered. I disconnected three wires and now works perfectly. Can't remember which ones they were though. Read the diagram carefully and remove pin 7 iirc (note, remove, don't cut it off, put a needle or small flat head screwdriver on top of the pin then pull it out so it's all reversable).

Trial and error.

TID

Q. My TID only lights up when the headlights are on, or whilst im driving it flickers on and off.
A. Another simple one. Simply remove/cut/disconnect wire 7 - GREY/BLACK - Illumination wire. This will keep the TID lit up as long as the ignition is on[/INDENT]

7 - GREY/BLACK - Illumination wire
Hi AJ,

Cut grey/black wire and MFD does stay on while ignition on, but only until lights turned on, then I get no display @ all, is this right ?

Try removing the grey/green also, that should help sort it
As always, instead of cutting the wires, try in clipping them from the connector so you can put them back to normal if need be

I cut my red/Gray wire a month or too ago but noticed a thew days ago my clock lights are on all the time even when there is no key in the ignition. Does anyone know what this could be.

Most likely a problem with the black wire - this goes to an ignition live so when the ignition goes off, it turns the MFD off
